Pokemon Go is A Huge Security Risk towards Personal Data

Pokemon Go by Niantic has stormed the world from west to east. It seems that a large quantity of people has devoted themselves into this monster-catching game combined with nostalgia, augmented reality and fun gameplay. However, beneath the hot phenomenon, the security problem lies.

Huge Security Problem of logging in with Google account

When players start to log in the app and click the google button, there is a sentence showing up:"Pokemon Go has full access to your Google account". It means that when you grant full account access, the application can see and modify nearly all information in your Google Account. This "Full account access" privilege should only be granted to applications you fully trust, and which are installed on your personal computer, phone, or tablet. According to security expert Adam Reeve, Pokemon Go and Niantic can now read all your email, send email as you, access all your Google drive documents (including deleting them),look at your search history and your Maps navigation history and access any private photos you may store in Google Photos.

How to protect our personal data?

It is quite obivious that there exisit huge risk beneath this overwhelmly popular game. Is there a way for us to protect our data while playing this game? To get you out of this dilemma,a VPN could be a fairly good way.VPN refers to Virtual Private Network, which means it can protect your personal data through encrypting protocol. Haven't you set VPN in your phone while playing this game, your personal data wolud have been eassily to give away by game operator. Here, I personally introduce you a VPN called FlyVPN , the best VPN I've ever used, and I've test it many times in order to acquire a better experience of gaming. They have test accounts on their websites as well, so you could have a test before you determine to purchase their VPN plan.
